Start with what you need. Add the rest as you grow.

Every BX1X business stands on one solid foundation. You add the parts your business needs, and more as it grows.

One foundation, your parts on top.

How BX1X fits your business, in eight steps.

Step through it at your own pace. Pick your kind of business on step 3 and your size on step 5.

Step 1 of 8: Solid ground. Every BX1X business starts on the same foundation: people, sign-in, security, settings and a history of who changed what. It is there before you switch on a single part.

A simplified picture to explain the idea, not a map of the software. Use the arrow keys or Back and Next.

  1. Every BX1X business starts on the same foundation: people, sign-in, security, settings and a history of who changed what. It is there before you switch on a single part.

  2. One place for the facts, so nothing is typed twice. Your customers, your documents and the books sit in one set of records that every part uses.

  3. Pick what your business does and the matching parts snap onto the records: quotes and invoices for trades, bookings for appointments, stock for warehouses. You only switch on what you use.

  4. One order lights up across the parts: stock is set aside, the invoice is made and the books are updated. No new wiring is needed, because every part shares the same records.

  5. As you go from just you to a larger team, more parts go on top, such as a support desk or a second branch. The foundation stays exactly where it is.

  6. Illustrative example: a hire business needs a step of its own. A new part is tested, then added. New parts fit the same foundation. Nothing underneath is rebuilt.

  7. When BX1X is updated, the foundation is updated once and every part on top keeps working. Updates are checked first and prepared alongside the version you are using.

  8. The parts your business needs, on the same foundation as every other BX1X business. See every part on the features page, or get a demo account and click through it yourself.

Room to grow, in both directions.

Growing isn’t only about adding parts. Sometimes more people work at once, sometimes one part has heavy work. BX1X makes room either way, on the same foundation.

Side by side

When more people work at once, BX1X keeps up by spreading the busy work.

Upwards

When one part has heavy work, BX1X gives it more power without slowing down the rest.

How we built the foundation.

We rebuilt the foundation seven times before we were happy with it, so the parts on top never have to be.

Each part has its own job and stands on its own, so fixing or improving one doesn’t disturb the others. Every part shares the same people, security, settings and records underneath.

Parts can also sit on your own website.

Questions owners ask

Can you add something my business needs that BX1X doesn't do yet?

Talk to us. We'll tell you plainly whether we can build it, what it involves and what it costs. A new part fits on the same foundation, so the parts you already use aren't rebuilt.

Does a custom part cost extra?

Yes. Custom parts are paid work, and you know what one costs before you decide.

Will adding a part break what I already use?

New parts sit on the same foundation and use the same records, so what you already use isn't rebuilt. Updates are checked first and prepared alongside the version you use, and if a health check fails, the last working version keeps running.

Do I have to use every part?

No. You switch on only the parts your business needs, and your team only sees what you use. You can switch on more later.

What does the foundation mean for my data?

Every part uses one set of records for your customers, documents and the books, so your information lives in one place, not scattered across separate tools. Each business's records are kept strictly apart from every other business's.

Can I change how BX1X works without a developer?

Yes, through settings. You can set your own stages and statuses, document templates and numbering, and roles, with a history of who changed what.
