Questions owners ask
Does BX1X keep clinical notes and patient history?
Yes. Each patient has a record with their medical history, clinical notes, attachments, prescriptions and treatments. Notes can use templates, and you can mark findings on a body diagram.
Can BX1X handle medical-aid billing?
Yes. Claims and pre-authorisations are prepared from the visit, payments from the medical aid are matched to claims, and the patient gets a statement for their own portion.
Does BX1X send claims to medical aids directly?
Claims go to medical aids through a switching house, and that connection is set up for each practice. Ask us where it stands for your practice before you rely on it.
Does BX1X come with ICD-10 and tariff code lists?
Claims have fields for diagnosis and procedure codes, but full code and tariff lists are not preloaded. Talk to us about the codes your practice uses.
Who can see a patient's clinical notes?
Only the roles you allow. Reception and billing staff can work without seeing clinical notes, and every look at health information is written to a log that can't be edited.
Can I dictate notes instead of typing?
Yes. Record a voice note and BX1X transcribes it and gives you a written summary to check and keep.
